In 2025, I launched “Women in Dunking” — a platform dedicated to honoring, documenting, and expanding the role of female athletes in the sport of dunking. This has been a dream of mine for a while now, and I’m so excited to finally make it real.
Women’s dunking has historically been rare. The first recorded dunk in women’s college basketball happened in 1984, and it wasn’t until 2002 that we saw a dunk in the WNBA. These pioneers opened the door, but there’s still so much room to grow the female side of dunking at the grassroots level.
That’s exactly why “Women in Dunking” exists. I want to build a community that celebrates female dunkers, provides resources and visibility, and shows young girls that this goal is achievable. At 5’9″, I’m not the tallest athlete out there, but through dedicated training with programs like JumpX and competing at events like The Dunk Camp, I’m proving that dunking is accessible to female athletes who are willing to put in the work.
This is just the beginning. Whether you’re a female athlete chasing your first dunk, a fan who wants to support the movement, or someone who’s just curious about the journey — welcome. Let’s grow this together.
